Crochet Hat Green Beanie Hat

cotton made in Canada of US grown cotton
Here we have Fey modeling an emerald green crochet hat with a pastel rainbow trim. The hat's circumference is 21 inches (53 cm) with a height of about 9 inches (23 cm) from the very top to its decorative trim, which sits right around the earlobes. It plays nice with adults with larger heads and those with thick hair, providing warmth without overheating.

This hat was conceived using a clear emerald green cotton yarn. It would enjoy hanging out on the head of a clear, cool-toned Winter, from nippy Fall through warming Spring. Its coat has developed quite nicely with a neat 1/2-inch (1 cm) wide edging in a pastel rainbow featuring pink, lilac, yellow and a light forest green.

All my hats are created, by me. The yarn used in this one's creation was made in Canada, of USA grown cotton. I was manufactured here, in the USA. It's grown up nice and soft! Because the cotton coat isn't as resilient as those of acrylic or wool you may, one day, find this crochet hat has become tired and isn't hugging your head as snug as before. Giving it a nice bath with, perhaps, some fabric softener will revive it, though truly a exhausted hat may also require a quick tumble.

To care for your crochet hat all you need to do is bathe it the Delicate cycle (cold water is preferred, but warm can be used to clean a hat that been playing too hard). No bleach, but fabric softener is okay. Then allow it to rest, flat, until dry. A quick tumble in the dryer is fine if you keep it on Low and allow it to play only until it is slightly damp. Too much time in the dryer will result in an uncomfortable crochet hat!! They prefer being placed in a Delicates bag or pillowcase as it keeps them from getting lost and aids in keeping their coats looking like new.
