Cotton Crochet Scarf Yellow White and Orange
You'll have sunshine on a cloudy day, yes indeed, when you're wearing this cotton crochet scarf, created by Crowe Shea Fashions.
"White Hot" is one of my Scrap Happy Scarves. I love making Scrap Happy Scarves because they allow me to use up leftovers from other projects, as well as save oddball skeins and balls from the impending doom of disposal by their manufacturers. It's great for the environment and I'm sure the yarn doesn't mind finding it has purpose, either. :)
For this sunny, crochet scarf I rescued the remaining yarn from an old dye lot and combined it with skeins leftover from some hats I made. Featuring variegated (multi-colored) yarn in deep orange, yellow and white, "White Hot" is accentuated with a 1-1/2 inch (4 cm) bold stripe in bright yellow. It's a generous 76 inches (193 cm) long - not including the fringe - and 4 inches (10 cm) wide, making it the perfect scarf for wrapping around your neck, once or twice.
I would suggest this scarf for clear, warm-toned Springs, though the orange does lend itself to some muted Autumns.
To care for your Scrap Happy crochet scarf I recommend washing in the Delicate cycle (cold water is preferred, to keep the colors bright, but warm can be used to clean a particularly dirty scarf). No bleach, but fabric softener is okay. Then dry flat. Tumble drying is an option but do so with caution. Make sure you have untangled your scarf's fringe, first, and only dry until it is still slightly damp. Over-drying will result in a stiff scarf! A delicates bag is recommended to keep your scarf looking new for as long as possible, and reduce tangling. Iron when necessary, using the "Cotton" setting.
